BRIDE of FRANKENSTEIN

// Concept Design

My first collaboration with Territory Studio. I was brought to develop some early concepts and ideas  for the film.
The objective was to come up with a new kind of medical technology designed to monitor the biological systems of the main character.

Quoting from good friend and CD of the project Andrew Popplestone ;
"We explored how we could create a dark, organic aesthetic that has a fundamentally physically quality yet is still a highly sophisticated next-gen technology.
We wanted to combine beautiful, abstract, clean graphical language with the natural, organic (at times quite horrific) aesthetic of flesh, intracellular, cross section body style imagery."

Unfortunately the movie has cancelled later on. So we have only scratched the surface, but even that part was delicious.

// EARLY DEVELOPMENT

Since the movie was in early production we didn't have any footage, so it was kind of up to us to figure out the setting. First thing was to come up with a sketch in terms of how we can develope the environment, surrounds around the subject, and how they would function eventually  ;

The code name of the establishment where the lab was going to be located was "VIDA" . I started to play around with typography and fake branding to get influenced by it for design eventually ;

// DESIGN

I begin designing elements based on some research. Another key element was, not to go super hi tech, advanced but more tangible ;

Next, we worked on the look development of how the "Bride" would look ;

Meanwhile Mehmet Kizilay created these simple but captivating moving elements for potential indicators ;
