// Title Sequence & Prologue
Another marvelous collaboration with Lisa Bolan and Elastic. We Have created both the main the titles and the prologue of the show.
The setting of the show features different species or 'races,' and the dynamics between them are at the core of the story. Lisa came up with the idea of showcasing these creatures in a museum as taxidermy sculptures and slowly revealing that humans were observing them. The sequence culminates with a beautiful homage to Eadweard Muybridge, featuring a zeotrope of centaurs and eventually revealing a wide shot of the city. The initial concept was developed by Lisa and Henry. I was responsible for the design and creation of most of the shots, with the assistance of Kaya. Upon completing the design, Master Yongsub and Alex took over for animation and final compositing, taking the project to the next level.
Some additional and unusued designs ;
My previous visit to Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago and Body World Exhibition, also my all time favourite films Taxidermia by Gyorgy Palfi inspiried me a lot while I was designing.
Here are some pictures I took and sample images from Taxidermia ;
// THE PROLOGUE
After the Title Sequence, we have created the prologue section of the show to setup the basic lore and back story.
We have made a deep research about how to tell the story, deliver emotion with stationary poses and compositions. Highly influenced by old renaissance paintings.
Initial posing process sample ; We have created all the composition by posing characters with rough models.
Then we have worked on the final design :
